Heather + Marshall
June 30, 2018
From the very beginning of my career, I told myself that no matter the circumstances – that I would never treat a wedding day as just a job. These moments that I have the honor to capture are once-in-a-lifetime moments. I, personally, attend a wedding almost every weekend. Things could easily get repetitive. It could easily become just another wedding. But I have couples, families, and friends putting their faith in me to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments. I capture their day with full intentions and hope that I never miss a precious memory. 2018 is officially half way over and I couldnt have asked for better couples. I want our couples to be our friends. I want their family and friends to trust me as much as the bride and groom do. 99% of the time, that is the case – and this wedding day, with their people, was the same and more.
Heather and I stayed in contact throughout the year + of planning. She studied my bridal guide and asked me questions pertaining to her wedding day that wasnt photography related and I always love that! I did two sessions for her leading up to their day and I had been looking forward to it ever since.
While I somehow always get so blessed to never get “bridezillas”, I also constantly have some of the sweetest grooms and Marshall is most certainly one of them. It is so obvious how much he adores Heather and oh how she adores him! I am almost certain that their wedding party adored them as much as they adored each other which made for a hilariously, sweet combination.
Heather and Marshall’s wedding was full of anticipation as they got ready, sweet tears when her brothers walked her down the aisle and danced with her in place of their father who is no longer with them, and full of laughter for every other moment the day held.
It was one of the hottest days in the northwest, but none of them complained, and it absolutely did not stop the entire wedding party from dancing the entire night away. No heat advisory was stopping them from celebrating this day that had all been planning for.
SO, Mr. and MRS. Williams – thank you for allowing us to join you and be a part of your special day. Hope Mexico is incredible. We look forward to dinner dates and game nights!
Oh, and PS thanks for allowing us to stay an hour longer to dance with you all. 😉
With love,
Kayla and Kris
